Android Tablets, Chromebooks, MacBooks, and iPads

Because the Nursing program utilizes various Windows-based applications, MCC highly recommends that students do not use Android tablets, Chromebooks, MacBooks, iPads, or other Mac products as their primary devices. While these devices can be used for some testing and course work, these devices may have limitations due to screen size, availability of key applications in app stores (such as Microsoft Office), and other performance issues across models and device manufacturers. Due to these limitations, MCC’s IT Service Desk may not be able to provide the same level of support for these devices. MCC’s IT department recommends that students only use Android tablets, Chromebooks, and/or iPads as secondary devices.

IT Service Desk Support

MCC’s IT Service Desk is committed to supporting students with their technology needs. However, we are unable to provide full troubleshooting or repair services for personal devices, including but not limited to laptops, smartphones, and tablets. Support from the IT Service Desk may be limited to general guidance or referrals to the official support resources for a student’s specific software or device.
