Wired Internet Access for Student Housing

Wired Network

MCC provides wired network connections for Students who are part of student housing on campus. These connections can be found in the dorm room, living, or common spaces. This guide is for Wired and not Wireless based connections. The ITS Service Desk requires a hardware ID called a “MAC Address” to register the device to the MCC network for Internet access to be granted.

A "MAC Address" will look like the following example and be formatted similar. 0B:0E:00:0E:00:A0

The below guide will help you find the "MAC Address" for common devices.
Once the Wired MAC Address has been discovered, please use the following directions below to submit the information to the ITS Department. You will receive a response within 3 business days but typically within 1 business day or less. A confirmation will be sent, once the information is recorded and the device is granted wired network access.
To submit a MAC Address, please visit or click the link below which will take you to a fillable form. You will be required to authenticate with your MCC login.
